Tropical Storm Gamma sucks away Bonnie's last remaining sanity

I can't believe this...

I am so screwed. If this thing hits here, even as a tropical storm, we're in big trouble. Our roof will go for sure. I have no hurricane supplies. We ate them all after Wilma. No gas. Debris STILL PILED UP OUTSIDE OUR YARD!!!

Someone just shoot me. I just want to go hide in a corner and cry.

I offer you a writing friend and a nice lot in NJ?

A bit pricey here, but the most that ever happens is another corrupt politician gets elected and a few ice storms.

It'll be fun! You'll see. We'll have more outside BBQ's, tree mulching get togethers, and community bonding in long gas lines. I look at the lines and the subsequent shootings as nature's way of removing the annoyingly rude people in our community. Without hurricanes, we would never get rid of them all.

I feel a deep sense of gladness that the shop vac I bought -- you won't even believe this -- 15 years ago can still suck the chrome off of a trailer hitch.

Life is good.

Ah Briana, what a nice person you are! I'd love to move BACK to NJ...some day. I lived there for 17 years.

Cindy, hang onto that shop vac. You'll need it for the next storm. I'm still thinking next season they'll zip through the Greek alphabet and go to Roman Numerals. You and I will be sitting around ruminating, saying, "Remember Hurricane XXXI? Damn that XXXI! It was a nasty storm, that XXXI!"
